It spun off some discussion about whether or not it's really a YA book on other blogs that were commenting on the Battle. (You can find the other commentary by poking through the Peanut Gallery posts in the blog archives.) I don't remember specific discussion of the predators/victims issue, although rape and incest were discussed.
