In the drop box this morning: Trinity and Beyond: The Atomic Bomb Movie. “This Special Director’s Cut features amazing Atomic Bomb Test Footage in Awesome 3D! (Glasses Enclosed).” According to the back, it “chronicles the top secret, strange and visually compelling history of the design, production and testing of Atomic and Hydrogen bombs by the United States.” And, of course, it’s narrated by none other than William Shatner. I was going to place this 2-tape masterpiece sometime in the Cold War 1980s, but no…1997. I am awed.
